What are the connection modes of the valves

September 18, 2022

1. Flange connection: both ends of the valve body are provided with flanges, corresponding to the flange on the pipeline, and the flange is installed in the pipeline through bolts. Flanged connections are the most common type of valve connection. Flanges have convex surface (RF), flat surface (FF), convex and concave surface (MF), etc.

2, the clamp connection: the valve is installed in the middle of the two flanges, the valve body usually has a positioning hole to facilitate the installation and positioning, with bolts directly the valve and the two ends of the pipeline through the connection form together.

3. Welding connection: both ends of the valve body are processed into butt welding groove according to butt welding welding requirements, corresponding to the pipe welding groove, and fixed on the pipe by welding.

4. Socket welding connection: both ends of the valve body are processed according to socket welding requirements, and the pipe is connected by socket welding.

5, threaded connection: threaded connection is a simple connection method, often used in small valves. Valve body according to the thread standard processing, internal thread and external thread two. Corresponds to the thread on the pipe.

6, clamp connection: this is a fast connection method, it only needs two bolts, suitable for often disassembly of low pressure valves. Such as sanitary valves.

7, internal self-tightening connection: all the above connection forms, are the use of external force to offset the pressure of the medium, to achieve sealing. The following describes a form of self-tightening connection using medium pressure.

Its sealing ring is installed in the inner cone, with the medium opposite side into a certain Angle, medium pressure to the inner cone, and transferred to the sealing ring, in a certain Angle of the cone surface, produce two components, one parallel to the center line of the valve body outward, the other pressure to the inner wall of the valve body.
